It was an honor to design the first-ever Nike Mercurial collection for Kylian Mbappé, marking a historic moment for both the athlete and the franchise. The design paid tribute to Mbappé’s hometown of Bondy, France, celebrating the place where his journey began with bold graphics and colors drawn from the community that shaped him.

As Lead Designer, my role was to translate Mbappé’s speed, style, and story into performance products that would resonate with players worldwide. Beyond the on-pitch boots — engineered with a lightweight upper and reimagined soleplate for explosive acceleration — I also worked on lifestyle footwear and complementary products to extend the collection off the field. Together with my apparel counterpart, we built a complete head-to-toe collection, blending performance, culture, and personal storytelling into a unified athlete signature line.

This project not only captured the essence of Mbappé’s rise from Bondy to global superstardom but also set the foundation for his signature relationship with Nike — establishing a new chapter in the Mercurial’s legacy.
