The Bugatti Type X150 was envisioned as the ultimate modern Grand Prix racer — a futuristic interpretation inspired by the legendary Type 35, the most successful race car in Bugatti’s history. Designed during my internship at Bugatti Automobiles in Wolfsburg, the project explored how the brand’s racing DNA could be reimagined through advanced technologies and bold new forms.
Powered by a conceptual turbine-hybrid powertrain, the X150 introduced radical aerodynamic thinking: extreme downforce generated by an underbody vacuum system, paired with sculpted surfaces that celebrated both heritage and innovation.
This project pushed Bugatti’s design language forward by questioning how heritage and cutting-edge technology could coexist. It allowed me to contribute to the studio’s exploration of future design directions at a formative moment, working alongside the Bugatti team to stretch the brand’s vision beyond the Chiron era.
